Shadow Gods Slots

Shadow Gods Slots
Don’t worry if you are wondering who these gods are, because we are about to reveal their names. You are off base if you think this game might be about Greek gods or Norse gods though – we’re sticking with a famous theme, but it’s got nothing to do with those gods. We think the Shadow Gods slot game is one of the best we’ve seen in a while.

Which developer came up with this idea and produced the game?

Shadow Gods is released by Realtime Gaming. They claim to take gaming seriously, and this slot shows just how serious they are about releasing outstanding games.

Demo details

Shadow Gods comes with a demonstration version that is identical to the real thing. It just comes with demo credits rather than requesting that you play with your own money.

Which god-related theme is used here?

The theme may surprise you, as we are visiting ancient Egypt in this game. With lots of competition in this themed area, the choice might surprise you… but then, so might the quality of the game to come.

Expect nothing but the best design features

This is a game that you might decide to sit back and marvel at for a while, thanks to its colors, detail, and rendering. There is nothing about this we hate, to be honest. If we had to be picky, we’d say the inclusion of basic letters and numbers for the low-value icons is disappointing. However, even those look impressive in gold with gems added.

Basic elements included in Shadow Gods slots

The game is based on a 5 x 3 format, giving you five reels to spin. No jackpot prizes are present on the game screen. The biggest prizes are fixed and are shown on the paytable.

Horus is the first god of the game, appearing as a substitute on reel two. This is a full-height symbol, always appearing over the whole reel or being nudged to do so if it does not automatically happen. That same element is in place for Anubis too – the second wild, which appears on reel four.

Watch out for two other special icons as you play. One is a gold coin, scattered over the reels, with at least six required to unlock its bonus. The other is a scattered Pharaoh’s head, which is connected to the other feature in the game.

Paylines to play on

Shadow Gods offers 50 variable lines to bet on.

Are there bets for every budget?

Variable paylines do give you the chance to play between 1-50 lines, although this means you could miss out on winning lines you failed to bet on. With a four-cent coin minimum, the smallest total bet to cover all the lines would be a hefty two dollars.

Does the game include a paytable?

Yes – this is accessed via the info button which is hidden behind the burger symbol in the bottom right corner of your game screen.

The Coin Feature bonus round

Can you manage to spin six or more of those gold coins into view in a single spin? If you do, you’ve got a chance to grab the Grand Bonus in the game. The triggering coins that appear are all held in position. Everything else then spins three times to see if more coins appear. Any that do turn up remain fixed as well, and your respins revert to three remaining. Once your respins end, the total of the values shown on the coins is awarded to you as a prize.

If you manage to get 15 coins to fill the screen, the Grand Bonus is given to you instead.

Two options to choose from if you score some free spins

Finding one pharaoh is big news in Egypt. Find three in this game and you’ll be granted six free games. However, you’ll get two options to consider before proceeding with those spins.

You can choose to have reels two and four as wild reels for those spins if you wish. Alternatively, you could choose Treasure Spins, with reel five filled with gold coins. Since each reel accommodates three positions, it means you need to find just three more in one spin to unlock the bonus we already covered.

How much could a big winner walk away with?

We love this game a lot. In fact, trying the demo is the best way to see why we like it. We doubt you’ll like it any less.
